People residing in rural areas have ridicules believes about health. They believe mire in traditional practitioner and faith healers than modern methods of treatment. They have lack in faith in surgery or are reluctant to surgery despite of the knowledge about the problem arising from blindness. There are many people who know nothing about the disease treatment and consequences. There are misconceptions and superstitions, in our societies which lead to delay and often not seeking for any treatment at all, so eye care awareness activities are essential at rural areas.
